During Seminar on Wednesday, February 24th, the Unified Champions Special Olympics had 3-on-3 basketball games at OJSHS. The Indian Special Olympic athletes and their peer buddies played several games as the students and staff cheered from the stands. Unified Champions Special Olympics brings together Special Olympics athletes and peer buddies on a whole new level. The following students participated as athletes or peer buddies: Nicholas Willis, Jackson Reitz, Angel Thompson, Trayton Walker, Lance Teal, Colton Goddard, Tristan Gray, Jonathan Frisbie, Madison Gudde, Engracia LaDene, Abby Strickland, Mae Albertson, Lindsy Dinnsen, and Allie Vail. When seeking volunteers to be peer buddies, the response is always overwhelming at OJSHS. As usual, it was definitely a great day to be an Indian, and it couldn't have happened without the OJSHS athletes, students volunteers, student body, and teachers/staff. A special thank you to the Unified Champions Special Olympics for the t-shirts the Indians proudly wore during the games!
